Our client is Holcim Serbia (previous Lafarge) world leader in building materials industry. Holcim solves challenges that customers face around the world, whether they are building individual homes or major infrastructure projects. In Serbia, company have been present since 2002 in two business segments, Cement and RMX, with strong extend of operations into Aggregates and asphalt. For the operations in Serbia, we would love to have a new team member.
Major aim: To ensure effective quality control and achievement of targeted goals through continuous improvements, accurate and timely reporting, compliance with health, safety and environmental standards following company procedures.
Key responsibilities: Monitoring production parameters and quality control processes; investigating deviations from target values and tolerance limits; reporting observed inconsistencies to management; recording materials in accordance with quality control procedures; supplier quality assessment; conducting and supervising laboratory and production tests; initiating and proposing corrective actions and process improvements; preparing presentations and reports; participating in production meetings and decision-making processes; introduction and evaluation of new materials in the production process; presentation of conclusions and providing recommendations based on test and production results; and implementation of new methodologies.
The position includes a training program during which the candidate will become familiar with our products, production processes, quality control systems, testing methods and reporting procedures related to cement, aggregates and concrete production.
Requirements: We are looking for a candidate with at least 3 years of relevant experience in quality control, production, industrial laboratories or similar technical positions, preferably in industrial environment. The candidate should have a hands-on approach, good understanding of production processes and willingness to work actively in the production environment and on site. High awareness of health, safety and environmental regulations, strong analytical and communication skills, team spirit, responsibility and accuracy at work are essential. Fluency in English (minimum C1 level) and good computer skills are required. Occasional international travel for trainings and exchange of know-how may also be required.
